  25. The comp.binaries.cbm story is a long and turbulent tale.  To protect the
  26. names of those involved, I shall instead use the names "Hercules" and "Xena".
  27.  
  28. Several years ago the newsgroup was created, and ran happily along under
  29. the moderatorship of Hercules.  Hercules got a little burnt out on the
  30. job though and things started to peter out and then pretty soon stuff just
  31. wasn't appearing.  After a few months Hercules apologized and suggested that
  32. a new moderator be found.

  34. A group of people volunteered (including myself), and it was agreed that
  35. Xena seemed the best choice for the job.  He recruited helpers and set
  36. things up, and posts appeared regularly for a while then suddenly stopped.
  37.  
  38. Many months later a message appeared on c.s.cbm.binaries from one of the
  39. usenet powers that be which stated that Xena appeared to have disappeared,
  40. and asked for a volunteer to moderate the group; this was several months
  41. back.

  43. That is as much as I know.  Nobody volunteered, ah reckon.
